I have completed my week on the Oswego health tech twitter page. When I started, the account had 223 followers and now has 225 followers!
Below is my full reflection on this weeks social media account takeover. Be sure to watch!
I learned a lot about social media and posting during this project. I learned that it is a great way to convey whatever you are passionate about or a message you want others to know in a fast way. Also, social media is the best way to have people engage and see what message you want to convey! I also realized how easy it is to forget about posting and have to rush to make a post. There were a few days where I caught myself pushing it off or completely forgetting about it, then having to quickly come up with an article I could post about stress. However, there are ways to prevent this from happening.

In the situation of forgetting to post is where apps that schedule your posts come very handy! Apps like “Commun.it” schedule your posts for the day and if they are published in the app, the app will automatically post it at a set time. This makes it almost impossible to forget to post! These apps are easy to use and can simplify your life so much. Some apps force a payment for a subscription to their program, however some are free! Below is a picture of the Commun.it homepage, here you can se just how easy it is to navigate- and for free!

Another great site to use is called “Hootsuite”. This app does the same things that Commun.it does. Hootsuite also notifies and reminds you on when to post, and if you put it into the program it will post it automatically for you! I took the online course to get certified in Hootsuite! It’s super easy to complete and I think you should too! You’ll learn a lot about the program!

Also, to further my learning about posting on social media I read a few articles! Go check out my “BONUS: Module 1” and “BONUS: Module 2” for those articles if you want to further your education about posting!
